I love being a therapist! I’ve always had a deep desire to help people, and for me, there’s no better way to do that than by creating a safe, nonjudgmental, and transformative space where you can share your experiences. My background allows me to support individuals dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and life transitions. While I’ve worked with a wide range of concerns and treatment goals, I’m particularly passionate about helping people—especially leaders, ministry professionals, and high-achievers—navigate feelings of being stuck and regain clarity, purpose, and peace.
Therapy can be intimidating and success is often determined by the relationship between your therapist and you. So let me tell you a little bit about me:
Clinically – I’m trained in multiple therapeutic approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), cognitive processing therapy (CPT), and reality therapy. I help you identify patterns, explore options, and make choices that lead to meaningful, lasting change. Those are big words that mean I can assess your problems but only provide insight and guidance. You are the one who ultimately makes the decisions that create transformation. If you like, we can use clinical language—but I often stick to plain, everyday terms to make it easier for us to navigate together.
Personally – I’m endlessly curious about psychology, mental health, and personal growth—and I love bringing that curiosity into everyday life. When I’m not diving into new ideas, you’ll find me laughing with my husband, our dog Rocko, and family, cheering on Gamecock football or Duke basketball, sipping a good cup of coffee, or soaking up quiet moments of reflection. My life experiences—including ministry work—give me a rich perspective and help me connect authentically with the people I work with.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Management from Lander University, a Master’s Degree in School Counseling from Liberty University with addons for licensure, and an Ed. D. in Community Care and Counseling: Traumatology from Liberty University. Over the years, I’ve gained experience providing therapy, facilitating workshops, and helping people build the tools they need to thrive. I look forward to walking alongside you as you take steps toward a more empowered, balanced, and fulfilling life.
